The Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) has developed its Admissions & Continued Occupancy Policy in compliance with the 2016 Housing Opportunity Through Moderation Act (HOTMA).
These plans outline SRHA's goals and objectives and provide information about SRHA's current policies, operations, programs, and services. Copies of the draft of the Public Housing Admissions & Continued Occupancy Policy are available at SRHA's main office, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, SRHA's public housing community rental office (925 Brook Avenue, 2210 E. Washington Street, 804 W. Constance Road all in Suffolk VA 23434, and on SRHA's website, www.suffolkrha.org.
A public hearing will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434, to provide citizens with an opportunity to comment on the plans before submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Written comments may also be submitted on or before Monday, November 18, 2024, to the attention of Keva L. Newsome at knewsome@suffolkrha.org or SRHA, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434.
