The HOME Rehabilitation Program provides assistance to low and moderate income homeowners in the City of Suffolk who need home maintenance and repairs that they otherwise may not be able to afford. The program is funded through the HUD HOME grant to the City of Suffolk.
To qualify for funds the homeowner must have low to moderate income and occupy the home as a principal residence.
Additionally, the value of the HOME-assisted property after rehabilitation must not exceed 95% of the median purchase price for the area.
